Privacy Policy
This policy describes what this website actually does — which is very little — and what happens to the information you send us when you email or book a call.
1. The short version
This website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no login, no shopping cart, no comment system and no form that submits to us. We run no analytics product, set no advertising or tracking cookies, and operate no marketing pixels on it.
There are exactly three ways your information reaches us: you email us, you book a call through our scheduling page, or your browser requests a page and our hosting provider logs the request. Each is described below.
2. What this website collects on its own
2.1 Cookies and local storage
None. This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
2.2 Analytics
None. We do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any other analytics or attribution tool on this site.
2.3 Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent string, and response status — in order to serve pages, defend against abuse, and keep the site available. These logs are generated and retained by Cloudflare under its own terms and retention schedule. We do not export them, build profiles from them, join them to any other data, or use them for marketing.
2.4 Fonts
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Making that request means your browser contacts Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address and user-agent as part of it. Google Fonts is the only external resource this site loads; no other third-party scripts, trackers, embeds or images are present. If you would rather not contact Google's servers, a content blocker that blocks those two hosts will leave the site fully readable in your system fonts.
3. What we collect when you contact us
3.1 Email
If you write to contact@centralux.ai, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to put in the message and any attachments. Our email is hosted on Google Workspace. We use what you send only to answer you and to carry on any business conversation that follows.
3.2 Booking a call
Our scheduling page at book.centralux.ai is operated using Cal.com. When you book, you provide your name, your email address, your time zone, and anything you type into the notes field about your business or your reason for meeting. If you choose the phone option rather than a video meeting, you also provide a phone number for us to reach you on.
Booking creates a calendar event in our Google Workspace calendar and sends confirmation and reminder emails to you. Video meetings are held on Google Meet. We use this information to hold the meeting, to prepare for it, and to follow up afterwards.
3.3 Information you send during an engagement
If a conversation turns into paid work, that engagement is governed by a separate written agreement, and any client data involved is handled under that agreement and the confidentiality terms in it — not under this website policy. Client operational data is kept isolated per engagement and is never used to train models or to improve another client's system.
4. What we never do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. There is no circumstance in which we would.
- We do not add anyone to a mailing list from a website visit, an email, or a booking. We do not operate a newsletter from this site.
- We do not run advertising, retargeting or lookalike-audience tools of any kind.
- We do not use anything you send us to train a machine-learning model.
- We do not enrich, append or purchase third-party data about people who contact us.
5. Legal basis and purpose
We process the limited information described above for two reasons: to respond to an enquiry you initiated, and to run the ordinary administration of a business — keeping records of who we spoke to and what was proposed. Where a legal basis framework such as the GDPR applies to you, that basis is our legitimate interest in responding to and administering business enquiries, and, for a booking, taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.
6. Service providers
We use a small number of established providers to operate the site and communicate. Each processes information on our behalf under its own agreement and privacy terms:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, DNS and content delivery for centralux.ai
- Google LLC — Google Workspace for email and calendar, Google Meet for video calls, and Google Fonts for typefaces
- Cal.com, Inc. — scheduling at book.centralux.ai
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We will not do so in any other circumstance.
7. How long we keep things
Email correspondence stays in our mailbox for as long as it is useful to the business relationship, and in any event no longer than seven years, after which it is deleted in the ordinary course. Booking records are retained for the same period. Hosting logs are retained by Cloudflare on its own schedule and are not archived by us. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, except where we are required to keep a record for tax, accounting or legal-defence reasons.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under a specific law — including the GDPR in the UK and EEA, and state privacy statutes in the United States — but we will honour a reasonable request regardless of where you are, because it costs us very little and the alternative is arguing about jurisdiction.
Send the request to contact@centralux.ai from the address you contacted us on, or tell us enough to find the record. We will respond within thirty days. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Email and calendar data live in Google Workspace accounts protected by strong unique credentials and two-factor authentication. Scheduling data lives in Cal.com under the same protection. We keep the number of systems holding your information deliberately small, which is the most effective security control available to a practice this size.
No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure. If you need to send something genuinely sensitive before an engagement agreement is in place, say so in an email first and we will arrange a better channel than an attachment.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed there.
11. Children
This site and our services are directed at businesses. They are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Do-not-track
We do not track you across sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to change. We honour it by default, because we were never going to do the thing it asks us not to do.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site or our contact channels work, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here plainly rather than buried in a redline. Previous versions are available on request.
